Mina's father had died fighting for the cause of freedom, and she is now left with her mother. Not many days go by without Mina's thoughts turning to her absent father, wondering what he would think of her, and how she'd progressed. As many children may hate a parent who's passed away because of the lack of the necessary love they are missing, Mina is the complete opposite. She tries all the harder to do what she believes in her heart her father would think was noble of her.
Concerning the dynamic between mother and child, Isabella and Mina
couldn't be closer. Many times, however, Isabella may be overprotective in
some perspectives. I suppose all mothers are this way at times; but with
the passing away of her husband, and almost loosing her own daughter, this
mother wishes nothing more than to help Mina become the best she can be
and overall, be safe. In her sage ways, Isabella believes in letting her
daughter teach herself lessons through mistakes, and most importantly:
learning from them. Still, somewhat of a worrywart, this mother is always
on the lookout for her daughter. In this intense love for one another, the
mother/daughter relationship between the two had grown tremendously. Mina
will and has risked her life for the sake of her mother.
Mina isn't your average mongoose, now. She's got abilities that differentiate her from others. Many of the freedom fighters love her for who she is, and what she's capable of. One of these unique abilities is the amazing voice she possesses. She has a great love of music, and performs for friends on occasion. Another useful skill Mina has is the ability to care for children. She's been a wonderful babysitter from the moment she'd lived in knothole. Mina's final aspect that makes her special from others is her speed. Of course, not faster than Sonic, and not able to control her speed as much; she's always working on it.
Speaking of Sonic, Mina has developed a fondness toward the mystical blue creature. Ironically, she, at first, saw Sonic as egotistical, and not having any soft spots. With his assistance in saving her life more than once, she feels for him something that can only be described as love.
Overall, Mina is one tough mongoose and won't stop for anything. Her multitalented abilities and bubbly personality give her an allure that may just win over the heart of her Blue hero.
